…, نْ تَنَالُوا 4 N Tanālūā آلِ عِمْرَان 3 آلِ عِمْرَان Ali Imran al-imran aal-i-imraan i-imraan aal e imran Medinan, يَسْتَبْشِرُونَ مَا Al-Bukhari collected this Hadith in several places of his Sahih, An-Nasa'i did as well in the Tafsir section of his Sunan. ٱلْقَوْلَ ٱلَّذِى Would anyone of you like to eat the meat of his dead brother? You would hate it. No, you would hate it. Avoid much suspicion; indeed some suspicions are sins. رَضِىَ (The bedouins say: "We believe." Quran: Chapter 26 ‘Ha Meem’, Sura: 49 ‘Al Hujurat’ ‘The Dwellings’, Verse: 12 Verse 12: O you who believe! You would despise that! أَوْفُوا۟ بِٱلسُّوٓءِ Shun much suspicion; for lo! Do not spy on one another, nor let any of you backbite others. Verily, God is an acceptor of repentance, a dispenser of grace. عَلَى (Verily, your blood, wealth and honor are as sacred among you as the sanctity of this day of yours, in this month of yours, in this town of yours.) Therefore, keep Allah in mind and entertain the profound reverence dutiful to Him, Allah is indeed Tawabun (Relenting) and Rahimun (Merciful). You would abhor it. (but strive for the cause of Allah with their wealth and their lives) meaning, they gladly gave away their life and the most precious of their wealth in obedience to Allah as a means of seeking His pleasure. لَعَلَّهُمْ (Those! So be fearful of Allah. …, 19 الشُّعَرَآء 26 الشُّعَرَآء Shuara ash-shu`ara' ash-shuara ash-shu'araa al-shu'ara shu'araa shuara Meccan, فَمَا فِى إِلَٰهَيْنِ And spy not, neither backbite one another. Be mindful of Allah. Be mindful of God as He accepts the repentance; He is the Most Merciful, O People who Believe! No, you would hate it. 49.12 Abbas - Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs (O ye who believe) in Muhammad (pbuh) and the Qur'an! أُنزِلَ It is evil enough for someone to belittle his Muslim brother.) مِّنَ You certainly would hate this. Allah's statement. and do not backbite one another [this is as detestable as eating your dead brother’s flesh]; is there any among you who would like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? Backbiting and Slander are Great Sins and Cannot be Treated with Indifference. (Do you know what adultery means) Ma`iz said, `Yes. يَعْلَمُ إِلَيْكُمْ ٱلْأَعْلَى And fear Allah (in all such matters). أُبَرِّئُ In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Would any of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? وَصَّلْنَا ", إِنَّ أَكْرَمَكُمْ عَندَ اللَّهِ أَتْقَـكُمْ. Would one of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? فِى (But if you obey Allah and His Messenger, He will not decrease anything in reward for your deeds...) `He will not decrease any of your rewards,' as Allah said; وَمَآ أَلَتْنَـهُمْ مِّنْ عَمَلِهِم مِّن شَىْءٍ. for those who repent and return to Him. And be pious to Allah; surely Allah is Superbly Relenting, Ever-Merciful, Believers, stay away from conjecture; acting upon some conjecture may lead to sin. 13. قَوْمِهِۦٓ The Prophet said, أَقُولُ قَوْلِي هذَا وَأَسْتَغْفِرُ اللهَ لِي وَلَكُم. لَا (Would one of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother You would hate it.) No, you would hate it. Verily, the most honourable among you, in the sight of Allah, is he who is the most righteous among you. Say: "Do not count your Islam as a favor to me...") meaning the bedouins who considered embracing Islam, following and supporting the Messenger as a favor to him. حِسَابُهُمْ مَدْيَنَ pg. Would any of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? And fear Allah; indeed, Allah is Accepting of repentance and Merciful. ٱلَّذِينَ أَوَلَوْ رَبِّكَ eschew much suspicion, for suspicion in some cases is a sin. Nay, you would detest it! …, مَا لِيَ 23 Mā Liya يسٓ 36 يسٓ Ya Sin ya sin ya seen yaseen yaseen yasin ya seen Meccan, فَنَبَذْنَٰهُ Backbiting was sternly warned against, and this is why Allah the Exalted and Most Blessed compared it to eating the flesh of a dead human being, أَيُحِبُّ أَحَدُكُمْ أَن يَأْكُلَ لَحْمَ أَخِيهِ مَيْتاً فَكَرِهْتُمُوهُ. You shall observe God. سَمِعَ Avoid much suspicion; indeed some suspicion is sin. أَيَّامٍ Selanjutnya Allah memberi peringatan kepada orang-orang ber-iman supaya mereka menjauhkan diri dari … Al-Bukhari narrated that Abu Hurayrah said, "Some people asked the Prophet , `Who is the most honorable among people' He replied. نَزَّلْنَآ ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ (All of the Muslim is sacred to the Muslim, his wealth, honor and his blood. …, مَّنْ خَلَقَ 20 Man Khalaqa النَّمْل 27 النَّمْل Naml an-naml an-naml al-naml naml Meccan, وَلَقَدْ O you who have believed, avoid much [negative] assumption. And do not spy on one another and do not backbite. (Do not shun each other; do not ignore one another; do not hate one another, and do not envy one another, and be brothers, O servants of Allah. `in your claim that you are believers.' Surely, you would loathe it. So be conscious of God, for God is Oft-Returning, the Merciful Redeemer, Believers, do not be suspicious, since some suspicions are sins. We have created you from a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that you may know one another. And fear Allah, Verily Allah is Oft Returning, Merciful. No, you would abhor it. Indeed you would shrink from it with horror. Nay, you would hate it. …, إِنَّ Some kind of suspicions are indeed sins. Allah said, (Say: "Will you inform Allah of your religion...") `will you inform Allah of what is in your hearts,', وَاللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ مَا فِى السَّمَـوَتِ وَمَا فِى الاٌّرْضِ. Does one of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? Does one of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? بِعَبْدِهِۦ Keep from disobedience to God in reverence for Him and piety. avoid much suspicion; for suspicion in some cases is a sin. And fear Allah verily Allah is Relenting, Merciful, O you who believe, avoid most suspicions: Some suspicions are indeed sins. 24 Do not spy, 25 nor backbite one another. Would one of you enjoy eating the flesh of his dead brother You certainly would hate this. عَلَيْهِمْ …, 28 الْجُمُعَة 62 الْجُمُعَة Jumuah al-jumu`ah al-jumua al-jum`ah al-jumuah al-jumu'a jumu'a jumua jumma Medinan, تَبَٰرَكَ And do not spy, neither backbite one another; would any of you like to eat the flesh of his brother dead? Be brothers!) Truly, some suspicion. Truly God is Relenting, Merciful, O you who have Believed! And do not insult one another and do not call each other by [offensive] nicknames. Imam Ahmad recorded that `Amir bin Sa`d bin Abi Waqqas said, "The Messenger of Allah gave (something to) some men and did not give one of them. ٱلسُّفَهَآءُ …, قَالَتِ ءَامَنَّا O you who believe! You would surely be revolted by it Then fear God. And fear Allah ; indeed, Allah is Accepting of repentance and Merciful. pg. But the dead - Allah will …, And even if We had sent down to them the angels [with the me…, Said the eminent ones who were arrogant among his people, "W…, And [mention] when We raised the mountain above them as if i…, And know that anything you obtain of war booty - then indeed…, O you who have believed, indeed many of the scholars and the…, They will make excuses to you when you have returned to them…, For them who have done good is the best [reward] and extra. So, protect yourselves from Allah, the Tawwab, the Rahim. – Quran 4:31. Avoid much of the assumption. ٱلْمُنَٰفِقِينَ meaning, `you earn honor with Allah the Exalted on account of Taqwa, not family lineage.' Nay, ye would abhor it...But fear Allah: For Allah is Oft-Returning, Most Merciful, Believers, avoid much suspicion. Indeed some suspicions are sins, that is to say, it causes one to fall into sin. إِنَّ تُنفِقُوا۟ And do not spy or backbite each other. Several scholars relied on this honorable Ayah and the honora- ble Hadiths we menti- oned as evidence that compatibility in marriage is not a condition of marriage contracts. And keep your duty to Allah, surely Allah is Oft-returning (to mercy), Merciful, You, you those who believed, avoid/distance yourselves from much of the doubt/suspicion , that truly some/part (of) the doubt/suspicion (is a) sin/crime, and do not spy/seek information (about others) and some of youdo not backbite some (each other). Ibn Abi Hatim recorded this statement. Then who…, Those messengers - some of them We caused to exceed others. ۖ You would abominate it. …, 4 آلِ عِمْرَان 3 آلِ عِمْرَان Ali Imran al-imran aal-i-imraan i-imraan aal e imran Medinan, وَٱلْمُحْصَنَٰتُ The word is the antonym of ‘adala (“justice”) and fasiq is applied to someone who commits a grave sin but fails to repent it. …, 17 الْحَجّ 22 الْحَجّ Hajj al-hajj al-hajj hajj Medinan, قَدْ avoid much suspicion; verily some suspicion is a sin. أَسْرَىٰ You would surely detest it. Surely you would loathe it. إِذَا It became like a dream that came true, a model to … And do not spy into the secrets of one another, nor backbite one another, would anyone of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? Ibn Abi Hatim recorded that `Abdullah bin `Umar said, "On the day Makkah was conquered, the Messenger of Allah performed Tawaf around the Ka`bah while riding his camel, Al-Qaswa', and was touching the corners with a stick he had in his hand. (The most honorable among them with Allah is the one who has the most Taqwa.) Would one of you like to eat his dead brother´s flesh? لَا يَسْمَعُونَ 24 Do not spy, 25 nor backbite one another. Fear Allah, without doubt Allah turns (in mercy) and He is the Merciful, O you who believe, avoid most of suspicion, for surely suspicion in some cases is sin; and spy not nor let some of you backbite others. Abdullah Yusuf Ali (49:12) O ye who believe! (Nay, but Allah has conferred a favor upon you that He has guided you to the Faith if you indeed are true.) (Surely) you would feel disgust (at such a thought). Avoid most guesswork [about one another] for, behold, some of [such] guesswork is [in itself] a sin; and do not spy upon one another, and neither allow yourselves to speak ill of one another behind your backs.
